Kenmore West Senior High School Reviews
Rating 3.83 out of 5 242 reviews
I transferred into Kenmore West from a private institution in Buffalo at the end of 2019, where I started my junior year there. In March of 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic started, which impacted my high school experience because everything went remote, and I was never able to feel at home at the school. I never attended a single in school class past March and graduated virtually from the high school. Overall I feel I was not able to make a fair judgment of the school because I did not get to truly experience it. The staff and students were always kind to me when I was able to attend in person classes, but I do not feel I was there long enough to truly consider it my high school.
Throughout my four years of high school, I enjoyed most of the days here. Some teachers are kind of annoying and only care about grades, other teachers barely teach and still expect you to get a good grade, and then there are actual good teachers who care. West always gave me something to look forward to at the end of the week or even month. Dances are fun sometimes but the DJs never get any better. The school announcements are kind of confusing and irritating, like why is it in the middle of the school day. They need to put more effort into the school pep rallies but overall all of them sucked. I am glad to be graduating but I will never forget all the fun memories I had at this school. West is Best!
Kenmore West is a great school! The teachers are really friendly and the diversity of upper level classes, like AP or IB, is really cool. Most of the student body is cool and they participate in spirit days, and stuff like that.
