This school is a gem in downtown Phoenix! The administration, teachers, and staff are caring, knowledgeable, and responsive. The academic environment is rich and nurturing including opportunities for my children to be involved in gifted education, free after-school tutoring, the arts, and sports. Communication is strong via Bloomz, Dojo, weekly folders, school social media etc. We value the focus on character education, manners, etiquette, and inclusivity. We appreciate the life-skills the children learn (such as being taught how to keep an organized binder/work space for 3rd graders, time management, respect for the property of the school/others etc.). We are proud to be members of this community!
I love this school for my daughter! Its not a large public school (which is awesome) and its convenient if working in the downtown area. School meals are even free! That's a bonus and more money in my pocket. I know how expensive it can be if you're not eligible for the school lunch program.
I’m a teacher here at Kenilworth and I couldn’t be more happy to know that I have found a family here within my school and district. I feel my voice is heard as well as student voices, my students and coworkers make it an enjoyable environment, and I couldn’t have a better IEIS (Ms. Chang) and Principal (Mr. Anthony). I am so lucky and grateful to be apart of this school district and super cool Kenilworth School.
