I loved the fact that the classes were hard, the work was all encompassing, and that I would rather donate to my middle school than to Caltech.

That should say more than anything I write. I imagine, much like every other school, things have gotten worse and the curriculum has gotten easier. The teachers weren't anything special but at least there were no "coach teachers" like one would have in highschool. Was surrounded by the smartest kids I'll ever be surrounded by, although many of them probably had parents that didn't push them to their full potential (which would explain why the majority ended up at Virginia tech). Still better than caltech. School actually cares about academic rigor. You can tell by the fact that everyone takes the same hard classes and no one has ever tried to tell me to take fewer or that it's okay to not be perfect. It's not.

Was definitely the best school in the world when I was attending. Wish they didn't have to get a new building with normies...

Kemps Landing was a challenging middle school with a great sense of community. My only complaint would have been the old building, but they've recently rebuilt the entire school! The new one is beautiful and even has a greenhouse.
The classes are challenging, engaging, and fun. The teachers are generally nice and supportive. The whole school values education to an extensive degree. I found that the teachers were amazing and so are the traditions. The principal, however, only cares about reputation and has taken away many traditions that received stress among the students, favors the younger students, and has a general disregard for students and staff members ideas and emotions.
