I attended Kempner High school during my junior year. It is an awesome school with incredible teacher and AP classes. The only thing I would change about the school is the guidance department, which did not prepare me enough for college applications and left me to understand many of the process alone. I love the school spirit and diversity! Kempner High will forever be my dearest High school.

Overall Kempner high school was a positive experience for me. There were more good teachers than bad ones. They definitely pushed students to think about life after high school and always encouraged college or some sort of trade school. During my senior year of high school, the college, career and readiness center was extremely helpful and got me through college applications. Kempner high school is extremely diverse, there are many cultures, religions, and races that are all well represented. The admin was unapproachable because they were hostile. While at Kempner the school was making changes to be more safe, like the glass offices at the front of the school, supposedly adding extra protection. Although I’m not sure how well the school is protected by intruders because the students open the doors all the time to people on the outside, I never felt unsafe.
Kempner High School is an environment like no other. The last two years of my life have been absolutely amazing as I enter my junior year. Kempner High School has provided me with numerous opportunities to make new friends, memories, and discoveries. Walking through the crowded hallways, I can honestly say that I feel at home amongst the students and teachers. Everyone you meet is friendly and eager to help, always. I am blessed to be surrounded by people of all different sizes, shapes, skin tones. There is so much diversity and creativity at Kempner that it is almost impossible to feel left out. Kempner High School is a place where everybody belongs. We are cougar strong!
