I like Keller High School, only mostly due to the fact I met a lot of my good friends and had some good times at school experiences. The culture, personally, is pretty bad. Like for one, we have a native American as our “mascot” which I don’t know how that is still acceptable. There’s plenty of discrimination towards people of color and lgbt+ kids. You can see that in a lot of classrooms (Surprisingly most of the teachers are more inclusive than the kids). You might learn something, depends on which teacher you get. Some teachers are amazing, some are kinda sketchy. Make sure to listen to the older kids, the bad teachers they talk about are probably right about that!

The school does a really great job of trying to create a positive learning environment for students! The counselors are very supportive, the current Principal (Mrs. Simmons) really cares about the wellbeing of the kids and staff, and it is kept very clean. My only complaint is that there are some teachers that are not up to par on their subjects and it seems like student complaints are not taken as seriously as they should be. I am a graduating senior in 2019 and I have loved my experience at KHS; I feel like I am a much more well-rounded student and I am prepared to take on college and its new challenges!
Keller High school’s environment plays a big role in allowing students to feel comfortable and excited about learning. Both teachers and students push one another to become the best version of themselves. Personally, I’ve always struggled with certain classes and knowing that my teachers offer tutorials helps me feel confident that I can overcome these educational obstacles. Along with teachers that want their students to succeed, the friendships that students make at Keller high school are ones that last and are supportive. With the many rigorous courses students take throughout their high school career, we all need a friend to distract us when times get tough. Keller high school focuses on making relationships with teachers and peers, making goal-oriented decisions, and giving students resources that will allow them to succeed.
