Kecoughtan High School Reviews
Rating 3.41 out of 5 545 reviews
kecoughtan has a wide variety of students I can personally guarantee everyone will be able to find their person there. The staff are all caring and work for the betterment of the students lives and futures. The best part about kecoughtan were the amazing shows we put on like the Adams family and Bright star. Our preformance brought people together and built a strong community of students and parents. The worst part of kecoughtan were not being able to fully use all the bathrooms due to vandalism. I would like to see a change in some of the experiences we had as seniors. Maybe add more open air events where students can hang out, it doesn’t need to be costly just a chance to be together!
My overall experience from my four-year attendance was well. I left with a quality education, and thanks to my counselor's advice, I was able to transition into my into my intended college and begin my academic career. Most courses were informative, however, what really determined their impact was our instructors; many of whom are incredible people from several walks of life. A good portion of my instructors throughout my tenure carried with them a wealth of wisdom I would not have typically learned in a classroom environment, and they were always welcoming, happy to share, and willing to listen. Besides some very useful and technical courses that got me ahead of my start in college, my instructors were the best part of my experience. That being said, the few instructors that I did not enjoy or appreciate were the worst part, as I felt overlooked if I struggled in class or as if I had no room for growth.
My overall experience at Kecoughtan High School was great. Because, the environment was full of learning and friendliness from others. The teachers, principals, and KHS staff really made Kecoughtan High School a good place for education. When I attend KHS as a sophomore it was my first time being in person at school because, I had school online cause it was during an pandemic. So, my sophomore experience would be okay, fun, and different. I joined 2 clubs (Drama club and crochet club), went to school football games, and helped backstage for one of our play productions(Bright Star). My Academic experience at KHS was good since, I had amazing teachers to expand my knowledge and provide me some career opportunities. Now let’s discuss the bad things that occurred, fights happening at the school, dirty bathrooms and halls, some teachers not being good at their jobs and sometimes the A/C doesn’t work. This review is me telling you the bad and good about KHS and my experience being there. :)
