So far, I'm a freshman at Keaau, but I'm already enjoying my education experience here. The teachers are really easy to talk to and can usually help you if something's wrong or you don't understand. There are plenty of field trip and class opportunties for all grades too. I will say, they focus a lot on sports, but they have good standards for the athletes. I am currently a JV cheerleader on the sideline cheer squad, and it's tons of fun! I am also in the HOSA Club and went to a state competition on Oahu. Being at this school has given me many great opportunities, and I encourage future students to be involved and have fun, because the year goes by pretty darn fast! We're only 4 or 5 weeks away from the end!

As a student of Keaau High School, It was quite the adventure. The diversity of cultures there and the continuous support with LGBTQ+ has been on campus. I feel that they could have done a better job with supplying us healthy but eye pleasing meals. The sports need more support when it comes to more school spirit. The sports really struggled in motivation from the school which I felt could have used some more hard work. Also, My school didn't quite prep me for college. I feel like there was more they could have taught me that I have to now teach myself.
There are very few things I like about this school. It's because I moved from a school I loved and then I moved here and saw the massive differences. I'm not saying my old school was perfect because who is. But this school seems so behind. Keaau has rules about not having phones, earphones, uniforms on, and no discrimination. But, that not true. This school has rules they don't even enforce. But, the Administration isn't the only problem. The education we are being taught here isn't up to par. I even worry at nights if I will have enough information and knowledge to go and be able to go to college. Moreover, some of the students are terrible to the teachers and adults. They show little respect and are not discipline. Before I end my review, this school has done ANYTHING when people say the n-word. They say it like their breathing water. It disrespectful and insulting.
