Honestly, I loved Taylor High School. The teachers and my classmates helped shape me into the person I am today. The teachers are wonderful. The administration did a great job with hiring their staff. It's obvious they really care about their students. The school itself is wonderful. It's not too big, but not too small. It's just right. That way you can build a better relationship with your teachers and principals. The school had a lot of clubs that I enjoyed, especially American Sign Language. I found out what I wanted to do for my future career in that club! I have many things to be thankful for from my years at Taylor, but it would take you hours to read that. My experiences and all that I've learned cannot be fit onto just one page. I loved my years at Taylor high school and I wouldn't change a thing. Of course I made mistakes, but I've learned from them and I've grown.

I went to Taylor High School for four years, and I had a pretty average experience. The school is quite old, established in 1979, so it definitely lacks in the newer facilities and large classrooms found in other schools in the district such as Seven Lakes and Tompkins. Some teachers are very dedicated to their classes and want to see you succeed, but unfortunately there are a lot of teachers who are unqualified and scornful. The school also tends to put their time and energy into sports like football and basketball and disregards other organizations. I definitely recommend joining clubs that interest you or play sports because it will improve your high school experience. If you work hard in your classes and stay out of trouble, you will survive.
I believe high schools have the direct potential to mold the future and truly enhance the next generation of leaders and citizens. My high school, Taylor, did not recognize its extreme power to be such a catalyst in the world of tomorrow. Staff members only did what they needed to simply to get the job done and go home; however, if ones profession is one that is within the walls of a high school it is so important that you do more in order to create not only a better place and community of the school but also a more mentally positive atmosphere. The stress , depression and anxiety that flutter throughout the halls are a direct reflection of the staffs inability to create a positive environment thats necessary in shaping the next generation of myself & my peers. I felt deprived of a positive learning place that could've helped me focus on my future and goals at THS.
