Karl G. Maeser Preparatory Academy is one of the best academic communities that is founded on three principles: truth, honor, and virtue. What I have learned about truth here at my school is to be honest. Be honest with yourself and others to have a safe and substantial environment. Honor is more than having respect here. It has fulfillment, purpose, and unification. Virtue at Maeser Preparatory Academy meant for me was to be a virtuous example to others. People’s virtuous contribution to this school assembles the purpose of our school’s mission, “empower and inspire students to think critically, learn continually, and communicate effectively through use of the Socratic method to better themselves and their community. My experience here has been great. I know it has helped me prepare for college and life after high school. I’ll never forget the aid of my consolers, teachers, and piers teaching me the importance of my school’s education.

Karl G. Maeser Preparatory Academy is a prime example of the best thing an education can be. Almost every class is discussion based, the teachers are genuinely invested in the success of the student body, and the administration and faculty strives to provide students with opportunity.
The students that attend Karl G. Maeser Preparatory Academy are some of the best people I have had the opportunity to meet. There is limited to no bullying, everyone's views are considered, and everyone's experience is valued by their peers.
At Maeser, we believe that the separation of church state does not mean that an education should be amoral. We discuss right and wrong on a daily basis, along with how to seek and identify truth.
Under the slogan "Truth, Honor, Virtue" and the belief that "all education is self education" each student is encouraged to take ahold of their own education by taking opportunities to practice integrity and kindness.
Karl Maeser is a very good school! It gives so many opportunities that a normal public school in Utah wouldn't offer you. The school is a liberal arts school and doesn't offer as very much in the STEM category. If you're looking for an English/history based education and love art things then this school is definitely for you! Although if you are more of a math or science guy I wouldn't particularly recommend this school. I would to see Maeser up their math and science game and maybe even add a couple of programming classes!
