I have loved attending Karl G. Maeser Preparatory Academy since seventh grade. I love the teachers, and feel that they genuinely care about their students. The academics are great, and they focus on a classical education which I think strengthens students understanding of the world around them. Maeser is awesome!

The school is rather small, which some would think would be a con, but it actually really enhances the learning environment. With smaller classes, students are able to interact more with their teachers and explore individual questions. The school's mission statement is: Karl G. Maeser Preparatory Academy empowers and inspires students to think critically, communicate effectively, and encourages to improve themselves and their community. The classes really encourage us to do all of the above with the support of the Classics. Over all, Maeser has, not only prepared me for college, but also for being a better person throughout my life.
Karl G. Maeser Preparatory Academy is one of the best academic communities that is founded on three principles: truth, honor, and virtue. What I have learned about truth here at my school is to be honest. Be honest with yourself and others to have a safe and substantial environment. Honor is more than having respect here. It has fulfillment, purpose, and unification. Virtue at Maeser Preparatory Academy meant for me was to be a virtuous example to others. People’s virtuous contribution to this school assembles the purpose of our school’s mission, “empower and inspire students to think critically, learn continually, and communicate effectively through use of the Socratic method to better themselves and their community. My experience here has been great. I know it has helped me prepare for college and life after high school. I’ll never forget the aid of my consolers, teachers, and piers teaching me the importance of my school’s education.
