Karl Maeser is a very good school! It gives so many opportunities that a normal public school in Utah wouldn't offer you. The school is a liberal arts school and doesn't offer as very much in the STEM category. If you're looking for an English/history based education and love art things then this school is definitely for you! Although if you are more of a math or science guy I wouldn't particularly recommend this school. I would to see Maeser up their math and science game and maybe even add a couple of programming classes!

Karl G. Maeser is filled with motivated teachers and motivated students. Yes, it is tougher than your average high school but all the more worthwhile; you are surrounded by great peers and mentors. Plus, the winterim program means that you take almost the entire month of January off to do a big (and often really fun) project, either one provided by the school or an approved independent project. Yes!
I love attending this school. It prepares students extremely well for college by having amazing teachers and programs that push students to their maximum potential. Since it is a small school, Maeser allows students to be involved in a variety of activities allowing for a truly enriching experience. One thing that Maeser has that no other school has is a class called Socratic. Socratic is based on how the great philosopher Socrates taught. The students discuss morals and ideas in the class and come to a conclusion as a class which allows for true thought and learning.
