Most of the teachers are very good and know what they're talking about. The lunches are okay. The things I call foul on is the infrastructure and management of the school and the technology. The building is very old and can feel quite grimy and unpleasant. That's not even mentioning the bathrooms, which are abysmal. At least for the boys, half of th stalls don't even have a door. It reeks of disgust. Technology is not a strong point. A lot of the computers are old and slow. The school never has enough laptops really. I also have to mention that the dress code is strict, which I do not like. There are a lot of students that do not care. Overall, it's an okay school. It isn't perfect in any degree, and it needs improvement.

My experiences at Kaplan High has been nothing but amazing and inspirational. When i got to the school as a Freshmen I was so scared of this new big world in front of me. I had no clue what to do or what to think. Thanks to the caring and helpful environment of the school I felt at home and comfortable in no time. After the first week I never felt alone again at the school, every time I needed help with something, there was always a teacher, staff member, upperclassmen, or good friend right there to help me. If I could of chose to go to any high school in the state, knowing what I know now, I would still pick Kaplan High. I would not be the man I am today without Kaplan High School.
For the most part it is safe and the teachers are always trying to encourage students to do their best. Of course everyone knows about our problems in upper management/School board. Hopefully this issue will be resolved when the new Superintendent is hired. I wish our school board members and those in positions at central office would put as much effort into replacing the Common Core curriculum. Unfortunately no one is interested in the things that affect our students negatively.
