It is a decent experience for me as a deaf student, because I can socialize with my peers who have similar disability and struggle. I am treated equally and felt welcomed. I also love their direct communication because I can ask questions using American Sign Language without a hesitation. It also provides dual placement which benefits me a lot. I can go to my local public school for better education and attend to Kansas School for the Deaf for my social life.

Kansas School for the Deaf gave me lots of support and opportunity. They supported me to achieve many things. For example, they helped me with finance needs for a deaf leadership camp in Oregon called YLC (Youth Leadership Camp). Also, KSD made sure that I receive challenges in education.
Three students just got over 30 on ACT mathematics score. I am very impressed with this school. More opportunities for our children comparing to public school.
