Kalaheo High School is a great school on the island of Oahu! This high school was near a military base so we had new students coming in all the time and the teachers, students, and staff were always very welcoming. The school has a wide variety of clubs, sports, and activities to help students with different interests, backgrounds, and hobbies to get involved.

Kalaheo is a pretty decent school. My biggest complaints are that the teachers who don't care are often unreasonable and give a lot of busywork and that the school is physically gross. The teachers who actually care are amazing. You can tell they want to be there and the students respect them for it. The homework level is not too bad even with AP classes. I generally only have about an hour of homework every night and I often have time in other classes to complete it. Soccer, cross country, track, paddling, basketball, and volleyball are really good. There are not many clubs but the ones we do have are good. People always complain that they hate Kalaheo but honestly its arguably the best public high school on the eastside. It's a very unique school that I'm glad I attend. It's what you make it.
I am currently a freshman at Kalaheo High School, and I have enjoyed their experience thus far. The schedule is efficient, our classes are intellectual and engaging, and the staff and admin are most of the time very helpful. They have a wide array of class diversity, such as Polynesian Dance Class, Japanese, Weight Training, Engineering, and Probability and Statistics. Some of the teachers do not teach as well as I had hoped. Also, I feel as though the kids who do moderate bad behavior (attempted arson, etc) do not get a sufficient amount of discipline. And they end up repeating the same bad behavior. But all in all, most aspects of this school are wonderful and I would definitely recommend it to anybody living near the area.
