Kalaheo is overall a very well rounded school. Most of the teachers are passionate about their work, willing to work after hours to help students succeed in and out of their classes. They're also really friendly, actively trying to build personal relationships with their students in order to make learning more enjoyable and easy. The college preparation is really good, as long as you put the time and effort into going into the councilors room and talking to your councilor. There is a lot of school spirit here at Kalaheo. It is a nice friendly environment that allows students to make their own opportunities and meet new people. The school is also very diverse, with military kids coming in from all over the world and exchange students visiting from time to time. If Kalaheo doesn't offer a certain course you wanted, they provide online classes. Finally, Kalaheo is very understanding and flexible when it comes to working around students circumstances and lives out of school.

Kalaheo High School has a very diverse population. It is in a great neighborhood and very close to the beach and military base. I enjoyed the art classes and photography classes. There are many dedicated teachers that go the extra mile to ensure that the students are learning at a rigorous pace. The AP and Honors classes were challenging and the teachers were very passionate about their teaching. I do feel that the school was lacking spirit and many of the facilities were old and worn out. The classrooms were often hot and overcrowded. Overall, I thank the dedicated teachers who do their best to make sure the students learning comes first made this a 4/5 school.
In my experience, Kalaheo high school put me in a bad place. Thankfully I am doing much better now that I am in college but I struggled terribly all through high school. My counselor was terrible, and some teachers were literally out to get me. I am so grateful for my professors I now have that really want to see their students succeed, they go above and beyond for their students and I couldn't be more grateful.
