Many of the people speak negatively of the workload that the school gives to the students, and that is partially because the school is LIKE at a preparatory level for college to get you prepared. In online you obviously have to partially teach yourself since it is more on your own. I like how there are numerous help labs, recordings, teachers, and discussions that will aid you in addition to being able to text, call, and/or email all of your teachers. So far all the teachers have been kind, helpful, and reach out when you have questions.
There are numerous clubs that are offered to immerse yourself in the school, but I would like to see more student involvement as a change.
Albeit the school is rigorous, I highly recommend this school as it is unique, the teachers are helpful, there are students from around the world, the coursework is in the format of a college class to help you get acclimated to it, the school is interactive considering it is an online school, and so much more!

One of them is George Washington University Online High School. GWUOHS is especially prestigious; since my sister attends GWUOHS, I have seen her curriculum and everything is almost if not exactly the same, but it is much more expensive.Albeit the school is rigorous, I highly recommend this school as the teachers are helpful, there are students from around the world, the coursework should get you prepared for college, and the school is interactive considering it is an online school!

K12 is technically online public school and I have spent all of my high school education with this program. I love the flexibility that K12 affords to its students, and I also appreciate the academic rigor and college readiness programs that have prepared me for my future. Despite being online, I have found that I am able to learn better and more, excelling in my academics. My teachers and the admins of the school have gone out of their way to make the students feel connected and as a result, there is a good sense of community. For example, the school regularly hosts 'school outing days' where students get together, and there are plenty of clubs and activities to join! However, because this school is online, the sports department is rather lacking and I would like to see that improved. I know it isn't really feasible for K12 to launch its own sport teams due to the distance between students, but I think they should connect students with other sports teams around Virginia.
