Overall, my experience with K12 International Academy has been very positive and I would recommend this school to students who either have difficulty going to public institutions or want to explore online schooling options. By using an online school institution, I not only learned about having to organize school and classes on my own, but I became more independent and saved money compared to having to attend private/international institutions.

In my sixth grade of school, my parents decided to switch us over to homeschooling. Since we are a military family who moves states every two years or so, my public school education up until that point had been often interrupted and lacking in some areas. (I had two years of separate state history and completely missed my U.S. History, for example.) My mother was put under a lot of pressure to act in accordance to the public education requirements as our main educator. We ended up choosing a different homeschool program the next year. I'm sure K12 is a wonderful tool for those in need of a starting program for homeschooling, but it makes for an awkward transition between public and home based education. I appreciate its function, though, and I'm glad our government has a program like this available for families in need.
K-12 International Academy provides a challenging academic experience while offering all the extra curricular activities you could ever imagine. The class material is relevant and modern. Students can learn in class connect sessions and in study hall with one on one help from their teachers. Teachers are always helpful and professional. The whole set up is well organized and prepares all students for a bright future.
