Being at Junius H. Rose Highschool is what you make it. It can be either the greatest or worst experiences of life. For me, it has been one of the greatest. Being involved with Rose from: cheer, soccer, FBLA, National Honors Society, and so much more, you are to met a variety of different people. These people are one of the best things at Rose, not only are your teachers helpful resources, but so are your peers.Rose is a friendly enviornment and I would recommend anyone to attend!

The school is open to freshman as they are provided a Link Crew Leader, who is an upperclassmen assigned a freshman group to guide them through their first year of high school.Although the school has social events, like football games and Diversity Day, the school focuses on academics.Rose has the largest amount of Advanced Placement classes in Pitt County and encourages students to take Pitt Community classes. The majority of teachers are considerate to student needs. The school should improve on some shortfalls. Staff doesn't do a good job of informing students on activities.A way to solve this would be to form a committee that organizes opportunity advertising. As a problem with most public schools, they receive little funding to update equipment or utilize education opportunities. This is a detriment to education, however the problem stems from a higher step on the ladder. Lastly, the school does little to accommodate international or transfer students and lacks aid for them.
very typical school for eastern NC. Leaders do the best they can with the funds given - probably not as academically strong as schools from northern states.
The Principal is very attentive and will take time to speak with you, and help with issues that can't be otherwise resolved. The guidance counselors will always assist when asked. The Registrar is top notch - comes in on weekends to take care of paperwork for seniors! Staff are hard working and most likely not outwardly appreciated enough by the majority of students and parents.
