Attending Junction City was normal & sometimes very fun. One of the principals were more strict than first principal I was able to experience but nonetheless , she did what she had to do. Fridays around 2:30 were the best ! I lived for the pep rally’s. Overall, I love my Alma mater , great school w/ great people!
Growing up within the Junction City.. "District" as I should to call it, there's much to learn that I feel as if you couldn't obtain else where. Junction City, AR is just a tiny blip on the map. about a 1sq mile on the AR/LA border. More or less about 600 people (city limits) and 200 attend High School here. As much as I despise it sometimes, living in such a tight knit environment comes with its pros. Everyone knows everyone, which atleast here for me it wasn't a terrible thing. I didn't know about.. 60% of these people personally but it made for easy small talk or comfort from a familiar face. Although, the "I know your mom/pops/granddad's goldfish can get old very quickly from the teachers. Speaking of, with smaller more familiar classes it was easier for them to engage and connect with us personally. This went with the Administrative Staff as well. Our tiny little school gave what it had for us, to beat the "small school small opportunity" the best they could. Great Experience.
Me personally I love the school I append. Junction City High School just makes me feel at home. The teachers are very kind and are very big on getting you your education. Yes, there are times where we might take a day or two out of a month and just give our brain a rest, but that's what's so good about it. Overall great school!
