I've been in Masterman since fifth grade and I can surely say that this school will really push you to be successful. Many of the teachers don't stress kids with amounts of useless homework and only give when necessary. Although the school is so small, you get to know and create strong bonds with the teachers and staff. It really does make you feel connected with everyone and one big family! I wished there was more diversity though because it's mostly a lot of white and asian kids than other races. I love the placement of the school since it's right above center city and close to a bunch of places to eat and the subway. I definitely recommend your kids coming here!

Literally all the teacher seem like they hate you. We are writing an essay about if we should have homework or not the WHOLE class said we shouldn’t. You know what time we all go to sleep? 3:00 AM and that’s the average in my group! Most people there are either hypocrites or are so bossy. All the kids that actually raise their hands are all cocky, rude, and hypocrites. There all RUDE except for those some people. I bet at least 1/4 of the class is either depressed, overwhelmed, stressed, or has no motivation at all. Literally I have been SOOO TIRED EVER SINCE IVE GOON TO MASTERMAN. Also the school is poorly funded so the food sucks. Also this year a piece of the roof FELL OFF. Sure you learn stuff but THE TEACHERS. Some teachers are cool you know but the others are so snobby. In conclusion people there are rude and teachers are meanALSO DON’T GO HERE UNLESS YOU CANNOT GET OVERWHELMED
Masterman has many strong qualities, especially college readiness. Not only is it very common to develop awesome relationships with teachers, but these relationships help to define your college application process. Teachers are very supportive in offering advice, recommendation letters, guidance or even just being an ear to listen to you vent. A lot of our classes are challenging but we have amazing teachers that always make time for fun. Masterman is a place for those who like to work hard and play hard! Also, our small student body makes it so that everyone is connected and it feels like one big family (through the good, the bad and the ugly of course).
