Masterman has many strong qualities, especially college readiness. Not only is it very common to develop awesome relationships with teachers, but these relationships help to define your college application process. Teachers are very supportive in offering advice, recommendation letters, guidance or even just being an ear to listen to you vent. A lot of our classes are challenging but we have amazing teachers that always make time for fun. Masterman is a place for those who like to work hard and play hard! Also, our small student body makes it so that everyone is connected and it feels like one big family (through the good, the bad and the ugly of course).

Masterman is a very close-knit, loving community. The teachers try their best to accommodate and help every student that needs it. They are all extremely dedicated to teaching and have goals to makes sure that every student has the opportunity to succeed. The academics are amazing and there's a vast range of clubs that one can join. However, I wish that more funding went into the music and arts programs. It would also be nice if some money went into upkeeping the building. It could definitely be a lot cleaner and safer than what it is. The lunchroom could definitely be more sanitary and the food could be better. Air conditioning is another problem in the building. There is a huge problem with temp control so in the winter it's freezing (or overly hot) and in the spring/summer, it stays overly hot. Other than that, Masterman is a wonderful school for students who are in need of a challenge in their academic career.
Masterman is a school of opportunities that help you grow as an intellectual and a person. When I was a student, I found it easy to make friends and felt comfortable in my environment. The teachers want you to grow and take your education seriously. There is no bullying, like you hear about in other schools. It is not your stereotypical school, it is a middle and high school combined with limited sports. Since the class size is small, you grow really close to your grade and feel like a family by the time you graduate.
