Judge Memorial Catholic High School Reviews
Rating 3.97 out of 5 123 reviews
I love Judge Memorial Because of the overwhelming amount of support that this community has built. The faculty and administration work together with the students to create a learning environment that will benefit the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of every single student. They involve the parents in every decision, creating better communication within the school and allowing the students to have a support system. This support system has allowed me to build lifelong friendships and connections that have allowed me to develop my future. Judge Memorial has a very involved and supportive councilors team. The team of counselors collaborates to formulate student schedules and help with college preparation and the overall well-being of attending a rigorous college preparatory school. Judge Memorial has a very welcoming environment. We have a growing community that incorporates every culture into school events.
My experience at Judge was similar and so different from those around me. By that, I mean my peers and I underwent the same struggles and types of triumphs, but the ways we faced them were different. I could say High School was typical, but for me, it wasn't. I faced some of my biggest challenges while at school here, and I learned so many important lessons about myself that I will always carry with me. Of course there were days I didn't want to be at school, but that wasn't because the school itself, but because I just didn't want to be there. My teachers, counselors, dean, and coaches all have shaped me into the person that I am, through thick and thin, and I doubt I would have had this same experience anywhere else, and I'm truly grateful for that. Yes, there were points while at Judge that I wish something would change, but because of the safe environment I was lucky to be in, I was comfortable voicing my concerns, and be apart of coming up with solutions.
Judge is a unique place. Most kids don't like it when they are there however it prepares you for college better than anywhere else. It is a close community and leaves you with unique memories and experiences. Although it seems like a chore at times, learning about religion, specifically world religions and social justice, is enlightening and is something you won't get from other schools. The administration often doesn't understand its students but they do understand running a top school. You can find some sort of activity that fits and interests you although socially being with such a small student body can be hard at times. At the end of the day, it is excellent for academics, you'll make a few lifelong friends, and the variety of clubs and activities it offers is unrivaled. I was more prepared for college out of state, as well as being very involved in activities/the community than many of my peers and I owe that to Judge.
