There’s a pbs radio station connected to the school that offers graphic design and tv production courses and it’s a really exciting and a great experience. Some teachers at the actual school are what bring this down because of their lack of teaching. As well as, students never really get a say in anything that happens at our school and if there’s a chance for student involvement, our school doesn’t take the extra step.
Journalism and Media Academy is a very overrated school. My math teachers throughout my four years in high school did not prepare me for college whatsoever. I already know that I will have to take remedial math I college just to catch up with the rest of my peers who have better learning experiences. The only thing that kept me waking up and coming here was the law.
The teachers are helpful and resourceful. Students gain alot of experience in the fields of journalism and media. The environment is friendly.
