Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy/Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School Reviews
Rating 4.3 out of 5 47 reviews
During the pandemic school year 2020-2021, we transferred our children-- ages 5, 9, 12-- into JKHA from the local public schools for what we assumed would be one-off year, as the public schools they were to attend were slated to begin the year fully remote.
Now, a year later, we are thrilled that our children will CONTINUE to attend JKHA, as we were so impressed by the academic rigor of the school, which was superior, in our estimation, to our experience at Livingston Public Schools. The other quality of JKHA is the authentic warmth of the school itself, where our children--who had NOT had any experience learning in a Jewish day school at all-- received differentiated, personalized instruction. Each of our children were known as individuals with unique strengths and challenges, and, more significantly, each of our children was uniquely supported for who they are. Very, very impressed.

Overall, my experience with Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School is good. RKYHS is a relatively small school so there are not many opportunities to advance socially outside of your friend group. My education has been rigorous with a variety of courses. There are many extra-curricular activities. Teachers have been helpful and lots of open-office hours. Excellent college advisors!
I have learned so many amazing things a JKHA. The teachers use a friendly way to present current issues in the world and teach them in a way everyone will understand. I have been attending JKHA since kindergarten and every year I learn more and find more things to enjoy. Questions and comments are encouraged and are always accepted, which makes sharing your opinion easier. JKHA also offers amazing clubs and teams and has something for everyone. During Covid, JKHA has taken exceptional measures to keep the school safe and open. I recommend JKHA to anyone who is considering attending.
