My experience with this school was not the best. There were constant cliques and I was definitely a minority. There were fights, drugs, and alcohol around at pretty much all times. It wasn't a high school that I could've enjoyed or anything like I had hoped for. Kids were extremely disrespectful to teachers and the teachers didn't really care what you did. Some teachers would you let you do whatever you wanted and you wouldn't learn anything and I was in honors. Don't recommend.

The school overall is O.K., however, the school is rather small so there are not many course elective options to choose from. According to a counselor, a bit over 60% over the school's population is hispanic/latino, which causes counselors to recommend more Hispanic Heritage scholarships than most others and esteeming HIspanic Heritage week above any other holiday. Student lovers can be too lustful in public, so freshmen should be aware, noting that the halls are rather narrow so you can pretty much see all who holds up traffic. Other than those things, the faculty and staff are easy going and is forever striving to help you to succeed.
I have enjoyed my 4 years at JM, I have made lots of friends and gained different perspectives of people. JM is very diverse In ethnicities and I feel welcome coming to school every day. Jm has taught me to not judge people as much because I do not know the person and what they have been through. The teachers at JM know what they are doing and are always willing to stay after just to make sure you do not feel left behind.
