As a new senior attending Joppatowne High I unfortunately do not find the environment to be productive and interactive enough for us students. Many students do not follow guidelines and tend to disrupt the learning environment. In addition, the teachers and administrator do not enforce the guidelines by providing adequate consequences which result in worse behavior from the students. For Joppatowne High School to evolve into its highest potential, the school will need to undergo various altercations. This school needs to go over consequences, when and how they should be enforced to the students who disregard the rules. The school's faculty staff needs to be more attentive when observing the school’s bathrooms and hallways to make it coherent that the environment is thoroughly sanitized. The teachers also need to invest in their teachings more and Increase their enthusiasm. This will ultimately increase motivation within the students to engage in their courses.
The size of the school was great for me personally. It's a small school, so it's easy getting to know the teachers and my peers very well. This opened many doors to healthy friendships and helpful relationships with teachers. This was beneficial for schoolwork mostly which helped in the long run. During spirit week, most of the students were very much involved in participation and showing their mariner pride. The teachers themselves showed their pride as well which made the experience feel even more meaningful.
Although, the lack of participation in clubs could have been improved. We didn't have nearly enough students involving themselves int he clubs the school provided. Lastly, the coaches for the sports teams were not the best. The teams had a lot of athletes with potential in the sports department, but the coaching they received was not the best it could've been. Getting more students involved in clubs and acquiring better coaches would improve the school.

I came to Joppatowne during the second quarter of my sophomore year. The people were nice for the most part, and the teachers really cared about your education. The only thing I would love to change would be more school involvement. Fun events to get everyone to show school spirit!
