Some of the teachers actually care for what the student will grow to become but there are attitudes and rarely help from teachers because they feel they do all the can when some students learn differently. I feel there people skills are not up to part especially gor those who have trouble learning.
This school is, simply awful. I attend here and it's the absolute worst school I have attended in my life, and I've attended several in various areas, private & public. The school is so poorly funded that nearly all the technology is broken, and if you don't have all-honors classes, you more than likely will not have a teacher who cares for your well being. Many teachers do not meet state/county criteria and we have gotten multiple letters informing us of such. There are constant fights between students, teachers whom straight up bully and harass students, and overall, it's an extremely stressful and unorganized environment to be in. Learning is nearly impossible here. For almost the first month of school, the 8th grade advanced students had NO math teacher. I continue to be stunned everyday by the comedy show that is JMS. If you're considering sending your child here, stay away. Any other school in the county is an amazing choice compared to JMS.
I attend jonesboro middle school. It is a disaster. I have attended many schools in my short life, public & private, and this is the worst. If you aren't in the honors classes, you likely won't have a
teacher who cares. Many of the teachers are underqualified, and we've gotten many, many letters saying that certain teachers don't meet state criteria. Few teachers care. Most staff see teaching as a job and not shaping children's futures. The learning environment is chaotic and impossible to focus in. All the technology (mainly referring to laptops) is broken or damaged. The entire school is disorganized and impossible to learn in. I would rather go to an ultra-strict no-fun private academy than this joke of a school. I don't blame the staff as most of them work hard, but many see us students as no more than a machine that gives them a paycheck, & my peers think think the same. Please, please do not send your children to this school.
