Academically, the school is pretty average. There are some classes and teachers who you know take educating young minds seriously and others who just give a grade. The employee personnel care more about what the students wear than what they are learning. Socially, the school needs to make some improvements. There will be 3 to 4 fights a week over something minuscule and the whole school will face the repercussions. The bathrooms are nasty, classrooms are too small for class sizes, there are more substitutes than actual teachers, and the stairs are a safety hazard. I'm glad the school is getting remodeled, however I feel they are spending resources in the wrong areas.
Your experience at JHS is what you make it. There's really nothing at this school unlike pretty much every other public high school in America. Some teachers care more than others, both about their jobs and their students. This school has all the classic high school cliques such as the popular kids, the athletes, the emos, and the nerds. In my opinion if anything can be done to improve this school, it should be cleaned better, offer more courses to prepare you for college and the real world, and hire more teachers that care about making their classes fun rather than passing out worksheets and sitting on their phones for the rest of the period.
