Throughout my four years at Joliet West High School, I have experienced nothing but the best experiences I could ask for! All teachers, classmates, coaches, counselors, deans, security, lunch ladies, and principals are full of bright personalities. I love how diverse the school is as a whole. There are equally African Americans, Caucasian’s, and Hispanics. I love that I can feel comfortable enough to go to anyone whenever I may need assistance. The only change I would suggest is more security checks. Although I feel that our school is a very safe environment, it is always sure to be safe. With all the national shool shootings taking place around the world, we should make sure this is prevented in all ways.

I really loved the teachers that I had and the athletic program. Being apart of the softball team for 4 years really brought me some of my best friends. Being involved with athletics, I got to work with a great athletic director and got to work with great coaches and other amazing athletes. Also the security guards, faculty, and all staff are really great to be around. When my softball team made it to state, a couple of the security guards and other staff members made the 2 hr. drive to Peoria to cheer us on! Such a great school and I would recommend it to anyone who is questioning if they should send their child to this school or a private school.
I’m a senior now at Joliet West High School, and the three years I’ve been here have been amazing! Joliet West staff are very accommodating and understand you as a student and a person. Classes are great and teachers are willing to help and want the best for you; teachers also have fun and interesting ways to incorporate into lessons! School activities are also fun and there are many clubs! I highly recommend Joliet West, they are an excellent high school!
