My experience at Johnson Ferry was certainly a transition from what I had gotten accustomed to in the traditional public school setting. I began attending Johnson Ferry in 10th grade and I never expected to enjoy it. At my school, there are only two days that you actually attend classes. The rest of the time is where you work on your assignments from home, which at first, seemed as though it would be painfully boring to be without my classmates. This, however, has taught me time-management and self-disciplinary skills that I otherwise would not have developed in the same way. I have loved almost all of my teachers; they care about our learning experience in a way my teachers at my old school could not compare to. We don't have much diversity or culture, but honestly, that's sort of to be expected at a private Christian school. I have very much enjoyed my time at my school.

It’s a good school that prepares you well for college. However, the administration is less then helpful and the sports teams are terrible. The Theater program has potential but the administration has failed to properly fund the program. Many of the teachers prepare students for college and educate them well. But others aren’t even qualified to be teachers. The ‘Christian’ of the school is lacking as are the faculty led events.
JFCA was a great community of people. I learned how to manage my time and how to make relationships with people. Coming from a five day a week public school, I quickly learned how to rely on myself to learn information that was not taught in class or that I didn't understand in class. Overall, I will graduate from JFCA with several life long friends and important skills on how to be independent and a team player.
