Johns Creek High School Reviews
Rating 3.97 out of 5 482 reviews
Johns Creek High School is not just an institution of learning, but a community of diverse individuals who are welcomed with open arms. With an exceptional staff, students are always heard and valued as a part of the family. Support is never lacking at Johns Creek, as the school is committed to helping each individual student achieve their personal best during their four years of attendance. Not only does the school excel academically, but also boasts an impressive athletics program that caters to all interests. Whether it be academics or athletics, Johns Creek High School has something for everyone.
I like the wide variety of clubs at Johns Creek. However, the teachers oftentimes are apathetic about helping students and sometimes do not complete understand the material. The counselors are oftentimes unresponsive and they make little effort to give you information on class selection. Last year I emailed my counselor and asked to take AP Environmental Science, which was not marked on my course request form. She responded a month later to me just to tell me that I had to fill out another form. Despite multiple emails asking for it, she never gave me the additional form, and I wasn’t allowed to take the class. Last year I was sick during my final exams. Despite multiple calls where I asked to make them up, I wasn’t allowed to take them until a month after school ended. Even then, the administration didn’t update my transcript until I called the office this year. Had I not called them, my transcript would have included zeros on both my math and chemistry final exams.
Jchs was alright! The people were very nice and the school atmosphere was relaxed. However, some teachers will make your life absolutely horrible.
