It has a reputation of being a very good school and it holds up to it. There's a good diversity of cultures here and there are many clubs so you'll definitely fit in. Since it's located within a fairly wealthy and educated neighborhood, the atmosphere of the school is quite competitive within many students competing against each other. The school lunch is typical of every high school around here, but they offer some options that are quite good. However, the administration and the teachers are lacking in the recent years. Many great teachers have left to other schools, and the teachers are constantly changing. Also, the principal has changed 3 times in the past 4 years which is a bit concerning. The counselors are a little hard to contact. On some occasions, some counselors take 3 to 4 days to respond, and scheduling a meeting with them can be a hassle. However, when you do get to have a meeting with them, they can be really helpful.

I am a Freshman at Johns Creek High School. I was born and raised in this community, but the high school wasn't always there. Johns Creek is relatively new, but very well functioning.
I have been at Johns Creek for a little over a semester and it has welcomed me so much. Students as well as teachers are so helpful and inviting! I am always involved in the varsity tennis program at Johns Creek and it is fun great!
My overall experience has been phenomenal!
The school is a very well kept, clean environment, but the math department is terrible. The counselors are all very friendly but sometimes don't know what they are talking about. I always feel very safe due to the locked doors and security officers provided to us. I have only had a couple of amazing teachers, while the rest of them just aren't adequately prepared to teach kids. They don't provide much assistance for college planning, but that is because the education level of most students is very high, and they don't need help with that kind of stuff. I love my counselor, Mrs. Wiley because she is very helpful with any problems I have.
