I absolutely loved John W. North. Not only is the academics amazing, the community is so loving and welcoming The environment was so diverse and I am so prideful of being able to spend four years of my life here. There were many multicultural and academic clubs, sports that flourished, school events that were extremely memorable, and teachers that not only taught so well, but become life-long friends. I personally enjoyed coming to school everyday, and that is not something everyone can say. North was a second home to me and it was not too big or too small of a school, so it was nice seeing new people everyday, but also coming across many familiar faces.

Overall, the school is a nice place, but it seems to be very polarized. Those who take honors, AP, and IB classes tend to be form a community and those who don't form their own community. People tend not to associate with people from the other "group". The teachers are all very dedicated to the student, willing to spend hours upon hours outside the classroom to help, and that is something that I very much appreciate. In terms of activities, North provides many outstanding high level programs such as BSR and robotics, and more than enough student lead clubs. One tremendous downside is that the bathroom's at the the men's, are disgusting.
Something that I really enjoyed about attending North high school would be the amount of academic opportunites that they offer from many AP courses to take on to their IB diploma program that is amazing. With many academies and groups like AVID. This campus explores the diversity among students, finding a way to make sure the student is involved one way or another. This school provides the top of anythings they can from really good sports teams that make it to CIF and show that dedication they have within their sport. As the coaches and teachers give the students that psuh and hope to do good. Overall John W North High School is probably one of the best school that most do not give it credit for and they deserve so much more.
