I loved the diversity and kindness that I received from everyone that went there and worked there. I was in a program for dual enrollment and it prepared me so well for college. I am ahead of most now in college and can’t graduate 2 years early! I am so blessed to have got that opportunity and it was free! I made so many unforgettable memories there and a few friends that I will keep for forever. The only thing I wish to change was sports and school spirit. It wasn’t a big priority there and the coaches weren’t very passionate. It’s not about winning but sports are about having fun and a lot of people lost sight of that there. In all it’s a great school and I recommend it to any high schoolers and for my future kids.

At Tucker High School, I feel fully accepted as an American born Croatian in the diverse school with both American, American born, and foreign students. I never felt like I belonged with Americans or foreign students in middle school. But at Tucker, I feel accepted on every part of campus. The faculty and staff have continuously made each student understand their worth, potential, and encourage us to be good people outside in our community. I have constantly had support and now find passion in working hard in school. I also have tried new things like trying out for the soccer team in ninth grade after being scared in middle school. Since then I have been a Captain and varsity player.

One thing I believe Tucker could improve is better communication for ESL students. I believe a service group should be organized for ESL students to have the ability to attend weekly meetings where they could ask any questions they have about the school in a safe space with other students.
Hello everyone that’s reading this, my enrollment at JR Tucker High School has been exceptional and enjoyable. I’ve experienced things that other schools possibly couldn’t do. Such as the diversity and culture. Since, Tucker is a heavy diverse school, I’ve been open to all sorts of cultures from food, traditions, clothing, language, and festivals. The school environment is great especially how it allows you to get out your comfort zone. As of sports like track and field, wrestling, baseball, and soccer; best believe you’re going to get recognized and have a winning season. Lastly, this school is amazing, with great programs, great people, and great environment for a school.
