Extremely Diverse crowd of students that tend to form their own cliques, but they are typically extremely inclusive and open to new people coming into their friend group. There are a variety of programs within the school such as International Baccalaureate, ACA, and Immersion programs. The culture is extremely inclusive and school spirit is evermore present. The faculty are involved in the lives of the students and actively seek opportunities for them to ensure that they are receiving a good education all the while making sure there are enough school events to keep the students engaged.

I am a current senior, and personally I loved John Randolph Tucker High School. The academics were a little poor, but there are three specialty centers (IB, ACA, and Immersion) implemented to augment the school’s academic quality. The culture at this school is amazing; everyone is incredibly nice and everyone finds a way to feel at home at Tucker. We’re one of the most diverse schools in the nation and primarily comprised of students of color. The administration and counselors do a great job of organizing the school and getting students serious about collegiate-level education. The teachers are warm, inviting, and passionate about what they teach. While the campus is not the best right now, the people in it make it all the better.
Tucker High School has many amazing qualities. One thing that constantly sticks out to anyone that walks on this campus is the extravagant amount of diversity. The diversity at Tucker is by far the most amazing and wholesome thing I have ever experienced. Seeing so many different groups working well together and willingly associating with one another gives off a very positive message of acceptance and camaraderie. Tucker is a place where everyone belongs. There is no such thing as an outsider. Everyone had their group and their place, and the amazing thing about that is that every group is diverse within too. Another positive aspect of Tucker is the access to amazing academics. Not only does the school offer an extensive list of honors and AP courses, the school has three specialty centers. The Advanced College Academy, International Baccalaureate, and The Center for Global Citizenship all contribute greatly to the community at Tucker.
