I enjoyed my time here at John I.I made some new friends and most of the teachers I had were really nice.
I like how the teachers teach their students. Overall, how all the students get along no matter the race or religion.
Teachers are caring and understanding with students. Science lab is always enjoyable and the material taught is done in a simple way that is understood.
John, I Leonard is one of the best school that will be available in the district as john I have a great counseling team there is a major safety and the teachers are very friendly.
My experience overall over these years have been good you can say and I am working very hard to graduate . But overall I am happy of being a lancer!!
My experience at John I Leonard was about average. I was part of the Medical Academy which gave many certifications but I believe that there was more that could have been thought. My classes were mainly put into AICE to earn the diploma and there was not many clubs that interested me. The teachers were either super sweet or strict.
My experience was quite average. The students were usually pretty nice and it is a place where all types of students from every background can come together. The teachers were not very good at teaching, they were usually nice and understanding but their teaching capabilities were not there. There were not many opportunities provided for students there, even for those who seek opportunities. The guidance counselors are also not very good at their jobs.
I like going to john i but it's quiet in the actual classroom besides when someone ask a question or when were reading out loud because of COVID
Covid-19 has changed schools a lot. But, John I. Leonard High school has handled the transition from brick and mortar to virtual. Thanks to John I Leonard I received the opportunity of a headstart on my college experience and career, although some teachers within this school could learn a thing or two about teaching the majority do care for their student's future, however. John I Leonard High school is indeed safe but I had an experience of a threat being made to this school and I was really scared of even going back the next day. I am a senior at the moment graduating in 6 months... Finally. Although I wanted to experience my senior year in school I am very thankful for the opportunities that were given to me by John I. Leonard like the AICE diploma (which I did get). Therefore, I am rating John I. with a 4/5.
my experience with the school is good. The kids are ok and like every school, we have a group of kids who are very immature and make you question if they at the right school. The teachers are ok too, we do have teachers that students struggle with because of there teaching styles and others where they are amazing at what they do.
I have graduated from John I. Leonard high school this summer. My overall experience in JILHS was excellent. I loved the school and it's environment. Professional teachers and staff. The school provided a great learning environment for students. Loved John i.
My high school pushed me to be the very best I can be. It increased my knowledge in subjects I never thought I would be able to pass. It developed my social skills and my test-taking strategies. I love John I. Leonard and the programs they offered -- like AVID.
A lot of the teachers I had were great. I was able to participate in extracurriculars I enjoyed such as colorguard, drama club, and Latinos in Action. I liked that the school pushes students to do more rigorous courses. However, the student should be able to have a say in whether or not they want to take such courses. I also think that classes and clubs centered around the arts, performance, and community service would receive more recognition by the school as well as more funding to be successful and give a good representation of the talent and hard work that comes out of this school.
I like John I Leonard because most of my friends have come from there, there are some very enjoyable teachers. On the downside there are also very much less enjoyable teachers, specifically the mathematic department, there are not any overall good algebra 2 teachers. Most of my friends failed Algebra 2 having all different teachers. The counselors have student priority which is normal but it seems that its very close minded and they only really pay attention to seniors. If you request to see your counselor on a slip, they will most likely get back to you in about a month or two. Other than that pretty much, I had good memories there.
I like John I . I met a lot of lifetime friends there. I like the friendly environment . I always feel like they could change the administration they are not friendly. The guidance counselors are not the best they don’t really push for you to try your hardest to get into college your help you find scholarships that’s why I’m on this website
John I is overall has a very positive school environment.I get excited to go to school on the daily. Most teachers are very friendly. One thing I would change would probably be the cafeteria food it tastes a bit too processed
My experience at John I Leonard high school is that the school as a whole is good. They did have job fair (I wished I went), guidance counselors check up on you like junior/senior check up. The school also provides a lot of easy community service opportunities. If you go to the guidance office they have a bright orange filled with opportunities (if you don't see it ask, an administrator). They often offer beach clean up nearly every Saturday.
