The school does a good job at pushing students to try their bests in academics. They staff pushes students to get good grades and be good people but, the school is very bias. I would not highly recommend this school for other students. The school is not properly ran by the administrators, so until administration is fixed the school will be able to prosper. Otherwise, the school will continue to be poorly conducted. The school is known for telling kids to show up to school because they are worth eighty dollars.
I’m a senior at John Henry High School. These past three years have been really good. This school has helped me a lot and has inspired me to continue to do better. I see the difference this school has made in my community and I hope that when I leave this school continues to serve my community. Throughout the years I’ve seen a change in myself, I want more than just a high school diploma, I want a doctorate degree. All in all, John Henry high school is my savior.
My school was established in 2015 and I am among the first graduating class of John Henry this 2018. It is a small public charter school serving students of low-income in Richmond. Resources are low and funds are strictly budgeted. A handful of honors, electives and one advanced placement class is all I have to work with. I have made the most with what am do. Extracullars are just as sparse do to the small size of our student body. Also, since opened the school has seen three changes in administration and six changes of teaching staff.
