John H. Pitman High school is an excellent school to attend. They offer something that other schools around this area don't, security. Pitman is a safe campus that keeps the students well rounded throughout the school year. Pitman also has a very good team of English teachers that have so much to offer!

At John H. Pitman (Referred to as Pitman from here on out) we have an excellent music program with a well decorated choir and marching band that improves every year. The main office staff work hard to coordinate with students and teachers for what limited resources are coming to the school. The available tools and technology are currently lacking, with teachers paying out of pocket for equipment (Mostly the science department). This is changing but will not see significant progress until 2024 or so. The reason I rated Pitman as an average school is that there are excellent reasons to attend if one is interested in a music career or a trade profession (Welding is essentially its own little world) but for everything else, I find Pitman wanting.
Most of the teachers here provide quality education to their students and do their best to prepare them for college. However the staff in the office is very disrespectful. There are some occasions where you walk in and stand at the front desk for minutes before they even acknowledge you. I have also had a continuous issue throughout my time here with getting marked absent and them showing up as truancies even when I was there. From there, it is always the student’s responsibility to fix it even though it was a teacher/staff mistake.
