John H. Pitman High School, Home of the Pride, is a dynamic campus with a vision of being THE MODEL for success through innovation and support for all. With strong academic, athletic, career technical, and extra-curricular programs, the Pitman community is dedicated to ensuring all students graduate as responsible citizens who are college and career ready. Staff and students exemplify what it means to be members of the Pride through their commitment to Never Settle, Never Quit...Roll Pride!
Pitman High School is a large campus with around 2400 students. It provides plenty of clubs to all students who are interested and gives students the opportunities to create their own or become active in school politics. There are also many sports opportunities available for students who are interested. The student's ethnic makeup is very diverse, with large numbers of Assyrian and Mexican american students participating in the school. While Pitman is not known for having an education higher than the schools near it, it does have great teachers that are very helpful in providing a high quality education for those who are interested in taking advantage of all educational opportunities available to them. Office staff are generally to be avoided as they can often be condescending, but the environment is okay. People generally divide into their friend groups, which is the foundation for sports teams and clubs in most cases. I would rate my experience 6 out of 10, as I feel it can improve.
John H. Pitman High school is an excellent school to attend. They offer something that other schools around this area don't, security. Pitman is a safe campus that keeps the students well rounded throughout the school year. Pitman also has a very good team of English teachers that have so much to offer!
