I've had a wonderful experience at John F. Kennedy High School. This school honestly wasn't my first choice for high school, but I'm glad I kept attending here anyways. The teachers and other faculty members are very supportive of their students, and I love the community here. There are many great educational opportunities, such as dual enrollment and ROP classes right next to the school, which allow you to explore more subjects and courses. The block schedule also gives students more flexibility in their schedules, and allows them to try many kinds of classes outside of the a-g requirements. There are many different types of clubs you can join and participate in. You'll be able to meet new people and everyone is very friendly. The main downside of this school is that it is pretty old and needs updating, but lacks the funding to do so and fix more run down areas. Overall, I really liked going to this school.
The campus is friendly and the staff members are amazing. As a student since my freshmen year, the school has provided me with many opportunities and growth. They also handled the quarantine panic very professionally and guided the students to adapt to a remote learning environment. However, one downside is the lack of class activities outside of academics which deducts one star.
I liked my experience at Kennedy. I just believe it needs to be updated facilities wise. The school was dirty and definitely needed more bathrooms throughout campus. The academics were just average, could be better and sometimes the teachers could have disciplined students more. But I will always be grateful to be a Titan!
