I liked my school because I was able to interact and communicate with so many people. I am usually a quiet person but once I started high school I made a lot of friends and they have helped me with so much. All of my teachers that I have had were really nice and taught me so much.
Great Experience every faculty member made me feel safe and confident. I have had experiences with teachers that can help me in college. This is a great school to still learn and save for college.
The education in this school is better in the honors and IB/AP/DP classes. The school needs more restrictions, more programs for students who are doing poorly, and focus on some health guidelines. The school also needs more funding on programs, repairs (bathrooms!) etc. Most of the staff is very nice, understanding, and hardworking (from my experience). Counselors and teachers are helpful and informative, but you need to ask to receive it. The school provides many opportunities by sending emails involving programs outside of school, scholarships, service learning hours, and even jobs. Overall, it has very good education in honor + classes but needs to receive a lot more funding.
During my time at this school (I am currently a senior) I played varsity soccer. Our coach would push us to do better on and off the field. He always stressed the fact that we were student athletes, so we had to put school first. My teachers were the same way. They cared about each student and would take time out of their day to help anyone who needed additional help. Overall, I always felt supported by the staff and I knew they had my best intentions in mind.
This school has some good teachers that will leave awesome memories but the students and some staff aren't exactly the best they can be rude or even racist.
Going to school in at Kennedy is great. There is a lot of resources available for all the student; from clubs at school to programs outside of school, it is all provided at Kennedy. The staff is amzing, every teacher I have had has made the class interesting and engaging. I think they have prepared me for the future.
John F. Kennedy high school is a school that offers a sense of home. I have taken the highest level classes available (AP + IB), so I can not speak for everyone else.
My personal experience has been excellent. The academics are very mediocre, even for IB classes. However, what really compensates this for me are the classes, teachers, and students themselves.
The teachers at Kennedy are some of the best I've seen in my life in almost every aspect from passion to understanding of personal student issues. They are more than teachers; they feel like mentors.
The students in my classes are also some of kindest and most interesting people I've met.
There is nothing I dislike about the school except for its lack of specific clubs and its mediocre academics.

My experience at the school was incredible and lovely. It was very fun and I enjoyed every bit there was at the school. There was never a time where I couldn't find someone willing to lend a hand help me with whatever I needed. I appreciated it to the max and I wouldn't regret coming here.
Overall, this school was where I spent my 4 years. I can't really complain. The staff, the teachers, the security, and the students are all nice. I have learned a lot throughout the years and have applied to college. This school got me ready for college which is really a good thing. The support I also get from my teachers and staff really put me in a positive mood and want me to attend every day. Now we are on online classes, and I say it's okay. It has its ups and downs but again nothing to complain about,
Kennedy high school in all honesty was a good decent school, it was my local public high school so it was easier for me to go to. The school itself was good, clean and had a safe environment feeling. Some of the staff were friendly but then you had the ones that looked like they didn’t want to be there. The teachers knew what they were doing and gave me a good education but I never had or made a bond with any of them except maybe like 2 or 3 teachers that I felt actually cared for me. In my 4 years there only 2-3 teachers actually cared, the rest were just there to teach. My councilor was helpful in problem solving but wasn’t very easy to talk to, she also looked like she didn’t want to be there and didn’t give me a positive feeling like she would hear me out if I had a problem so I never sought out her help. All in all my experience with Kennedy was 40/60 the school itself was alright but the people in there were not all that helpful but now I get to leave.
I like attending John F. Kennedy for the diversity, but mostly enjoyed participating in sports programs. I was a team member on the Freshman Basketball team, Sophomore Soccer team and they were very welcoming and taught me great sportsmanship. Every coach was friendly, upbeat and encouraging. The sports program motivated me to keep my grades up getting into the Honors Program. By doing this, I displayed, my commitment to my sports team.
I get a fairly good education at my school and have meet great friends who I can communicate with. I have fun everyday that I go to school because my teachers teach me new things and push me to limits that I did not know I could ever reach.
The teachers were very kind and did everything they could with what they were given. However there was very few resources and most of it was in poor condition
One thing I like about Kennedy is the IB program and the preparation for college that they offer. I'm in the IB program and think the work is understandable and the teachers are somewhat understanding of the students. I really liked all my math teachers and they got me really interest in mathematics more than I was before. Some changes that could be applied to the school is a more appropriate environment for the school. Recently a group of students and teachers have advocated for more money from the city to expand the school to fit the amount of students admitted do the many repairs the school desperately needs.
The education really is great, but the leadership that there is in that school needs to step up. There are many amazing teachers who do a great job, but others don't deserve to be teaching.
My time at Kennedy was something that I am able to say that I enjoyed, not only was I able to form friendships with my peers but I was able to go to teachers for any help that I needed. My counselor was always a big help to me and I'm glad she was there to help throughout my high school experience. Even though I wasn't able to have to Prom or graduation that I wanted because of the outbreak, I'm glad I was able to complete all 4 years at Kennedy high school.
They do a bad job at helping students finish their mandatory classes. They really focus most of their attention to IB students. They prioritize students in higher level classes and do bare minimum for the rest of the students. Some students didn't get a chance to go on any field trips and that relay sucks.
