The school is decently academic in terms of offering over 20 AP courses, along with regular courses. Though the school should add honors courses for students that want to be in an advanced/faster-pace version of a regular course, but don't want to deal with stress involving in AP courses.

The food needs some improvement considering an amount of people would bring their own lunches, or just drive to a fast food restaurant if they're upperclassmen.

The teachers are pretty nice, and often have the time to answer students' questions. Most of them teach in a pace where the students should be able to easily grasp the material.

There has been a problem with bullying every single year in the school; since there would be assemblies, homeroom meetings, or something that addresses bullying. Also a student has committed suicide due to bullying occurring in this school.

Overall, the experience is decent. Though it can definitely improve.
Review John F. Kennedy High School
Kennedy became home ever since I've been going there! I'm involved in Marching band/color guard, wind symphony, and girls soccer team. I love going to school everyday because of my teachers, my friends, and the exciting classes offered! I wouldn't want to go anywhere else!
Kennedy was a school that promised to fulfill my dreams. Coming in as a freshman, Kennedy was labeled the top public school in Iowa, and one of the best schools in the United States. My time at Kennedy was full of mixed emotions, as I was encouraged to pursue AP classes I may have not been ready for. Looking back at it now, though, I wouldn't change a thing. Kennedy offers a diverse choice of classes, ranging from acting and yearbook, to wood tech classes and more. The teachers strive for their students, and devote time for them. When my mom was diagnosed with cancer, all of my teachers ensured my well-being, making sure that I was supported. It's a comforting environment, one that I know I will miss as I go to college.
