John F Kennedy High School takes pride in its grades and academic excellence. Its faculty is very educational and for the most part, deeply cares for its students. However, the administration could do a better job of including classes that will teach students about real-world problems, such as investing money, how to build a resume, or even about taxes. The school system as a whole prepares students for a superficial world and focuses them on niche fields of work which focus subjects such as trigonometry as a requirement. High averages are pushed and grades become a priority. Rather than a more eclectic approach of taking classes which suit the students, and teaching them what they will truly need to know in the future.

Jfk was not that bad, some of the teachers are very caring and they teach very well. Although there are some positives there must be the negatives. Even though this is an anti bullying school, I have seen a lot of bullying. If your kid is getting bullied or is not fitting in the school does not take any action. The staff wait a very long time and cover up your issue as if it never happened .There are spoiled kids in this school who do not have any manners and did not receive any parenting. There is not much diversity. If your child is facing any bullying you need to further investigate because JFK teachers just try to protect each other and their school’s reputation as said before. If people see that there has been bullying in this school their status will turn low, which they do not want, that is why they neglect your case. There has been many changes to this school such as the principal changed.
Something needs to be done.
John F. Kennedy high school has welcoming teachers and guidance counselors who are always willing to help. The courses are challenging but are worthwhile and interesting. Additionally, they help to shape students for college. There is an abundance of school spirit present within the students who are in clubs or sports. The faculty is very kind. The library is filled with many new novels, and the librarians are very helpful. The only issue is the school's new heating and cooling system which is not properly functioning, but I'm positive the hardworking custodians will fix that very soon.
