The academic aspect of the school could have been push more since I do not feel like I was being challenged enough in school. Also, there isn't really a security in the school.
Haines was a fun school and I made a lot of good friends there. Overall, I love my teachers. There have been improvements and renovations around the school and playground over the last couple years. The only things I don't like about the school are the lack of clubs and sports, and the school lunches.
They allow bullying to go on in their school, bullying is very strong here and myself have been victims of physical bullying in and out of school, and the school did nothing to help with the bullying.
Very poor and improper education, the teachers here are incredibly unprofessional, abusive and racist, and they do not care what the students are going through. Especially students with disabilities who are being mistreated, and the IEP/special education classes that they do have here are not very helpful or effective.
I do not recommend this school to anyone and I suggest that you go search for another school other than Haines, and LISTEN! to what your child says about this school because they are probably right.
