Cons: Very little diversity... nearly entirely filled with Asians with high income parents. Got rid of the LIBRARY for a fitness center, and the only one who told us was the librarian who told you if you asked her to confirm the rumor. I also wish that the school placed a little less importance on Chromebooks. When doing a quick write in English on paper, a lot of students were complaining about their hand skills cramping after writing for only 7 minutes. The building itself isn’t in the best shape either, being built in the 60s.

PROS: However, most teachers are very skillful at their jobs. A few teachers are just kind of lazy (check myprofs.com) but most act like they genuinely care.

TLDR: I just wish that the students actually had say in what was happening. Since the test scores are so high (mostly due to many of the kids going to tutors) administration just assumes it’s doing great. Good teachers, average experience

John Adams is a good school in preparing for high school. Most of the teachers are really nice and helpful, and are certainly qualified to teach. Some of them are lazy though, and don't teach their students. JAMS has a good amount of sports, but our school is mostly about academics. There is no diversity whatsoever however, so if that's what you're looking for, not the best place. I do have lots of friends, and for the most part enjoy my social life there. But some of the staff members there don't seem to really do anything, and they don't make the best decisions.
This school is awesome! I love learning here, and the teachers here want nothing but to help you succeed. I love this school, and I will most definitely miss this school when I graduate!
