This are very good school but there are some things that need improvement . John A Ferguson Sr. High school has great academics and sports. They have majors and academies such as biomedical, business, International Baccauloreoute, DASH and so much more. The things they nees to improve on are things like safety, and cleanliness specially in the bathrooms. Some of the staff can be very rude, but others are very kind , considerate and loving. Overall JAF is a pretty good school to be in! I like being here!

John A. Ferguson is a very excellent school, not to say it doesn't have its flaws. The academic side of it is excellent, the teachers truly do and give one on one time with the students. They are very strict on IDs and uniform violation. Only thing that is hard to over come at first is how many students their is. But it gets very normal after a while. Over all a very good school!
This school is an example of a misleading ad. It looks really good on paper and online, but when you actually go there, it’s pure trash. Teachers - regular, honors, AP, DE or IB - are all completely horrible. They don't seem to care about your learning or your success at all. I have been an AP student for 2 years now, and thankfully I go to AAA at FIU, where high performance students have an actual shot of passing AP exams. Classrooms at Ferguson lack creativity, they don't allow students to think freely and come up with their own thoughts and arguments. The entire education structure of the school is formulaic; a physical representation of the "5 paragraph essay" we're taught since elementary school. The only reason Ferguson is rated "A" is because of the outstanding performance of those in Dual Enrollment programs at MDC and FIU; the rest of the Ferguson student body willingly fails these exams, and I would safely argue that their overall combined scores amount to, at most, a C-
