It's a good school and has a great STEM program. The teachers care about you and so does the administration. It is like your typical middle school with a little bit more creativity.
I am currently in J N fries this year and so far it has been a wonderful year. In JNF they make everything hands - on and the STEM program really stands out. Here in JNF you will have the opportunity to do wonders. You should really consider coming here.
I like that it is a stem school, and how they compare there in class assignments to outside real-world problems. I love how they make everything hands-on.
I went to JN Fries from 6-8th grade, and I was a part of the IB program when they still had it. The school itself was pretty old, and there was a lot of issues with both STEM and IB programs being there. However, the school is now only STEM, so that may alleviate some of the problems. The faculty wasn't exactly great, but there were some pretty good teachers there.
I am a former employee of this school. I am not sure where Niche is getting their student:teacher ratios, but class sizes average 32-36 students and up. Whatever the system is for figuring this out, it needs to be done better so that people do not have a false sense of what these schools are like. Especially if it is a teacher searching for a position and they are getting a miss representation of what the school is actually like.
I'm in the eighth grade and I love it here. It's fun and really helps for high-school and college preparedness. Bullying isn't much of an issue which I really appreciated. The food last year was better but besides that, I would definitely recommend coming here if you want a good, fun education.
I loved JN Fries. The staff were so nice, and the teachers I had really helped me. I made a lot of friends and I felt really safe, not much bullying towards anyone that I saw. Until recently, the principals have been excellent, but I couldn't stand Mrs. Bullick, someone tell her JNF is a middle school, not an elementary school. But besides that I loved it. Also sucks that there aren't sports, but you have to have students for that. Btw, it's stupid it's becoming a STEM school rather than STEM/IB, tbh.
For the most part, I highly enjoyed the experience I had with teachers at this school.
There is very little extracurricular activities at this school.
There is a great amount of student diversity at this school. I always felt a great amount of culture being shared.
There is not much school spirit at this school. It is not uncommon for a student to only attend a game or two.
I thought the administrative decisions regarding the school were very thought-out and viable.
I especially enjoyed my academic experience at this school. The teachers are great.
The food at this school is very average. There is not much to say because it is typical lunch food.
