Fantastic! Teachers relate well to the kids and form lasting bonds. Administration is friendly and receptive to concerns. Full access and transparency. Rigorous gifted education with lots of collaboration. All of my son’s classmates were accepted into a combination of NYC’s specialized high schools, (more than 75% of the class), competitive programs (DaVinci @ Cardozo) and top high schools (Townsend Harris/Bard). Top notch competitive education in a relaxed setting where staff and students form a strong, close knit community. Robotics team is lead by an extraordinary scholar in the field who takes the kids to Legoland in California to participate in an international robotics competition (shout out to Mr. Xanthus- he is an invaluable asset to the school!)- an experience like no other!
I like how in this school many of the teachers are always finding ways to support students to learn and to be interested in learning, however I think this school do lack in club amounts, but overall the school facility encourages students to learn in an positive enviorment.
Honestly the teachers were all nice and there were a lot of activities and special events that got everyone together. My experiences there were extremely memorable and I appreciate going there since it helped build a major part of my character whether it was the schools activities, the teachers, or the people I befriended there :)
