This school is exceptional. The staff is one of a kind and the principal and vice principles are caring and Understanding! The academics in Dyker is at a higher level with masterful teachers and ones that care about their students. I am Very happy with my child’s choice of schooling.
they seem to not take responsibility with kids actions, they only send them to the dean which then leads to phone calls home or in-house. the school has only very small group of teachers that will take action and help the kids while others don’t.
Lacks great extracurriculars and high school / college preparation. In addition an entire wall collapsed when I attended this school so that was great.
Dyker Heights is surrounded by beautiful building up a hill. The school is old and has been breaking down slowly. The renovation is ongoing, but the school could have offer more high school readiness courses and more languages.
A generally positive experience, Dyker Heights was definitely one of the most influential factors in preparing me for high school. The school promoted a safe learning environment with a well-qualified faculty and administration. The teachers can be strict but are some of the best you could ever have.
Very good school with very good teachers and administrators but lack extracurricular activities for students
I loved all the extracurricular activities Dyker Heights offered to each of its' students, and there was also no limit to how many times I.S. 201 participated in charities and fundraisers! The only negative about my experience there was the lack of the need for technology... everything was done mostly by hand.
I loved dyker it was the best school I ever attended. I will be sure to remember everything when I grow older. I was overall very sad when I had to graduate and say goodby to all my teachers friends and principals, they were like my second family. If I were allowed to go back I time and relive my experience I wouldn't even hesitate to say yes
The PTA at the school has done its overall best in accommodating air conditioners for all rooms in the building. The guidance counsel era are like third parents and they love all their students
Teachers at is 201 are devoted you can clearly see their love for teaching and their students. Grading is fair and appropriate for everyone. And they teach in a way all students are able to understand
Is 201 is located in the dyker heights section of Brooklyn New York. Diversity is well accepted. And each person has their own unique story. Bullying was never a problem at the institute because everybody was accepted for what they were
Dyker heights intermediate school offers after school tutoring. That also offer Saturday school tutoring. The drama club at dyker heights is very active and well supported. The chorus and the band are very talented thanks to the hard work of both the teachers and the students.
Dyker heights intermediate school was the best middle school in the whole country of the United States of America. I always felt safe and taken care of. The security hairdos know the kids personally and enforce school rules. The nurse was like a grandmother that fawns over you. She would always make sure we were o.k and ready to learn
