It came to my attention that, this school takes selected students every year, to perform cafeteria duties, for credits. But, to my understanding, this is defying child labor laws. These kids are not of working age, yet they have to cashier/serve food, and they are not allowed to have their lunch, until they have finished these duties. These students get credits, but they do not get paid to do this. I do not know if there are, school staff who are cashiers, but I do not think it is right that these students must "work in the cafeteria" at any point. This is wrong. And also came to my attention that, these students do miss a class and get marked absent for it because of these duties. In my opinion, this school needs to stop doing this. Period.
It's okay, although sometimes the air conditioning has problems and the 800s hall starts to heat up. At times some teachers had to move outside because it was way too hot to teach inside. Technology is excellent. College prep resources are more than intelligent, especially with GEAR Up, which helps us out until the first year of college. Tutoring is ok.
All in all it's pretty great.
If you want to be a part of any athletic sport in school you have to have good grades which is really good, it makes the students try harder in school.
All the teachers are amazing, they help out and care a lot bout their students.
There are many clubs, from best buddies club to the fitness club. It's great.
The school police aren't around when there is a school fight and the nurses aren't nice.
