There are a ton of clubs and extracurriculars to choose from! Teachers are generally nice and want to help you but there are some that are notorious for not being able to teach their course well. Students constantly talk about college preparation from an early age, making academics and extracurriculars more competitive. School lunch is a bit better than New York City public schools but it’s overpriced for their value. There are a lot of resources for anything and everything and the schools make efforts to prioritize students

Jericho High School is a contradiction between administration and community. The administration attempts to help the kids. They discuss in detail about how it is okay to fail and learn and are extremely supportive of the Special Ed. At the same time, the community is the opposite. You are looked down of for not having a full schedule of AP's. Almost no one supports the Special Ed portion of the community. Parents the the fact their kids need help. Anything less that a 100 is looked down on. While the faculty tries, they simply can't overcome the intense, stressful atmosphere that the parents force onto the school district.
I just love this school. It has a very good number of teachers, athletics, and academics. Classes are really easy to pass and getting good grades is stress and pressure free. It also has a good amount of diversity here, and everyone is so kind to each other, at the point where it feels like a giant family. I feel overall very happy and safe here. GO JAYHAWKS!
