The teachers at Jensen Beach High School are 9 time out of 10 absolutely amazing and thoughtful and understanding. The administration is a hit or miss because many of them demand the students respect while simultaneously being disrespectful to students. As someone who plans to go in to the STEM field, I've had all the resources to do so, and if you really care about what you're trying to go into, you can find exactly what you need. Jensen has a phenomenal band and choir program for those interested in music, and the volleyball and wrestling team are fantastic as well. Overall, my experience at Jensen has been great, but it hasn't been great for everyone. It takes a bit of effort, but the experience can be enjoyable!
Jensen Beach High School is a mix of all the wonderful things high school should be about. There is a variety of sports and fine arts. The teachers are always super supportive and they love to teach. The staff are all amazing and know how to handle the normal teenage attitude with patience. Obviously you have the normal bullying that happens but the teachers and staff all handle it promptly and make sure the bully is punished justly. Students that do not attend school constistantly are not removed from the school but are given incentives to make them come to school. The teachers know how to teach in a way that the students are able to understand the lessons and apply them to everyday life. There are multiple electives for students of every type. There is choir, theatre, band, studio art, printmaking, digital infotech, history of the Holocaust, history of Vietnam, journalism, debate, and JROTC. No matter what type of student you are, there is a class for you.
Great school with great teaching! Provides amazing opportunities or tutoring for extra help. Staff is very helpful and determined to get you where you need to go. Sports are provided for all kids with outstanding coaching.
