At my high school there isn’t much clubs and activities to join thats something I would change. While attending Jemez Valley High School I wish there were more opportunities to get involved with my school. An opportunity to be known in my school. Although, there aren’t many students that attend JVHS so without the clubs everyone still knows everyone. I like how small it is you are friends with everyone and all the students know each other and it’s a great way to have a family at school.
The thing I like about Jemez Valley high school is that it’s a community school. You’ll go by the school and see people at the outside basketball course or just lying in the artificial fields and they are having a good time. The student’s appreciation is low which is kind of disappointing but all in all it’s a close school. Everyone knows everyone and if you don’t then you’ll meet them eventually. Jemez valley is a rather nice school and I know I’m grateful that’s it’s here. It helps bring people of two completely different diversities closer. Which I thing is extremely important for the generations to come.
Jemez Valley HS was about 6-10 minute drive away from my house. The school had a total of 100 students, everyone basically knew each other. Some students transferred out because of low academics, electives, sports, and friends. Some days it was fun, and some days I was like, "Wow! This school is becoming smaller". Classes were easy honestly, but just the thought of reading and studying and listening was nonsense.
Some very good teachers that prepare you! Others not so. Diversity is great, teaches many lessons. Food is ok if you’re not paying for it. Terrible if you are. Needs increased spirit and attitudes, especially administrators.
Our math and sCIENCE TEACHERS ARE AWESOME, YET I THINK MOST STUDENTS ARE SMARTER THAN OUR hISTORY TEACHER.
Not very many clubs at all, our school is more athletics orientated.
It has been a good time with both ups and downs. athletics and friends helped me tremendously.
The teaching staff is alright, some teachers go above and beyond to help but we also have a few low level teachers..
The nurse is never usually at the school
A good mix of people
I only had one teacher at the school who actually helped prepare me
Some health code violations here and there
The administration office does a fair job but they could do better
Some days the lunch sucks, but there are the good days too.
Worst school I have ever attended
