What I like about Jeff High is how diverse of a school it is. I had made friends with a foreign exchange student from South Korea and I've seen many different people here from different backgrounds and religion.
They have a wide variety of classes and offer many AP or dual credit classes. The teachers are very helpful. The only thing I'd like to see improve is the discipline.
Jeff HIgh often gets a bad rep from those people who don't attend this school. As a Jeff High student for four years now, I can say that I have loved and cherished every moment at Jeff. Not only is this school filled with so many opportunities for college, but also teachers and staff who help prepare you also. The classes I have taken have been college courses and allowed me to obtain college credit for my future. I will be graduating with 58 credits, which is way over the amount needed for graduation. These opportunities will not only help me with the rigor i"ll have in college, but also help save time and money. Jeff High is a big family, all helping and supporting each other. I could have not asked to attend a better high school than the one in my local community.
Teachers could do better with making kids feel like they matter. They rather bark at you instead of teach.
I love the atmosphere of Jeff High. At sports events the entire community of Jeffersonville, not just students, is brought together and you can feel great energy radiating. There are great programs to showcase talent like Radio and TV or the theatre department.
Jeffersonville High School is very inclusive. There are several clubs that welcome all types of students which makes the environment feel very inclusive to everyone. Although, there are over 2000 kids so it is hard to "fit in" with some of the cliques. Overall, Jeff High is a great high school and I am honored to be a senior there this year.
I had an overall okay time at school here although I would’ve liked to see the performing arts program expand a little bit.
My experience at Jeff high was a wonderful time in my life. The teachers at the school have helped me excel in my classes.
It is a very good school. There are a lot of opportunities to have a better life. They have this thing where is you graduate from the school then you get to go to ivy tech for free. Plus there are a lot of classes where you can earn college credit. There were some people who finished high school with an associates degree.
Good clubs, academics and extra curricular activities- many good and caring teachers, school is too large/crowded
Jeffersonville High school has a lot of opportunities. There are many clubs and sports teams you can join with the newest being the men's volleyball team! I found an opportunity on the track & field team at Jeff high and I fell in love with the sport. They have an amazing coaching staff and hardworking dedicated athletes! Jeffersonville High school has changed me for the better and set me on a path for a bright future
Jeffersonville Highschool offers a wide variety of course and extracurricular options, leading students toward success. Jeffersonville offers many unique characteristics such as: a large and diverse student body, many clubs and activities, internship and other real life work programs, and a fun and active student life. All these make Jeffersonville Highschool an amazing place to be.
The arts programs here are very good and on the rise in the state. The band program itself has grown well in the past few years. It’s a School continually striving for a better culture every single day.
It was fantastic! Awesome teachers, and staff. Positive vibes all the time. The only thing that I thought they needed to work on was actually listening to students instead of thinking they are lying all the time. Not every kid is bad.
Jeff High in itself is a very diverse school, and there are so many options for the students in regards to what kind of classes they have to offer. However, the arts department is heavily under funded and we deserve way more credit than what we are given, especially the teachers.
I have gone to Jeffersonville high school for almost four years now and it has been such an amazing experience for me! I have met amazing students, teachers and leaders. I have been given so many opportunities for my future. Jeffersonville high school has so many clubs, sports, and amazing classes everyone can participate in. The people at Jeffersonville high have really nailed it with what everyone wants in a school. I am very proud to be a student at Jeff high!
Jeffersonville High School is a very diverse school. There are many communities in the school that helps everyone to feel included. It’s a safe place besides the scarce instances of bullying. Most of the teachers go above and beyond besides the ‘Bad Apples’, which could either be uncaring substitutes or teacher that never seem to have a good day. All around Jeffersonville High School is average on the scale of horrible to tremendous.
