I’ve seen a couple comments about this school being diverse. Makes me feel like that is coming from a white person who has seen a handful of people who’s skin tone doesn’t match their own. Sure there is some diversity, but more could be added especially with teachers. I really wish there was more teachers who aren’t the basic white man/woman/whatever they prefer. This school lets racist comments get away like it’s nothing, besides that, schools cool besides one staff member, basically accused me of doing drugs, telling my friends they should find new friends, when i in-fact do not.
Awesome teachers and community! Academics, clubs, and sports were great. Very little student diversity but clubs were made for minority groups.
I have had a good experience at Jefferson High School. They have some incredible teachers who genuinely care about their students. The science and math department are especially good. The sports teams aren't great including some problems involving the coaches. I have made incredible friends and the people around me are mostly supportive and kind. The building itself is not pretty (there is a rumor it was designed by a prison architect). However, there was recently an upgrade in the furniture including couches and flexible seating options. There is not a lot of diversity in this school but I have never noticed any racism. They have a lot of clubs that you can choose from including speech, debate, DECA, Earthcorps, marching band, anime club, Asian club, Gay Straight Alliance, Spanish club, and Science Olympiad. There is also a wide variety of class choices including AP classes.
