My experience at Jefferson has been very great. The ability to be welcomed and have the freedom and space to grow. Going to Jefferson installed a pride in myself and never once was I jealous and thought about a better school. The activities and the constant effort to figure out ways to involve students was very creative. As a basketball player, I felt very welcomed to enjoy other activities like the weekly yoga and chess classes.
Our district is very different. Everyone strives to make things better, both at my school and in Jefferson county. There is still so much room for improvement but we are a strong community
It’s a pretty good high school most of the staff want the students to try hard and succeed in class. Most of the coaching staff is devoted to their athletes. The sports programs are good even though they don’t get a lot of support from the student body in terms of actually going to the events. In terms to of STEM classes they are better than most schools in my opinion. All in all not a Terrible school as long as you make it enjoyable for yourself
The environment is decent for a high school, with a variety of clubs and students to match. With the wide arrangement of classes offered, there is sure to be at least one class for everyone. My experience with the teachers was overall good, though a few are a bit creepy or out of touch/senile. I grew as a person here, and really felt like I was doing something useful. While Jefferson suffers from the usual school problems, like overcrowding, jerks, and heating/cooling issues, my high school experience wasn't that bad.
Jefferson is an amazing school and the principal truly cares for the students. The staff are also amazing, they truly create a good learning atmosphere.
It was a fun experience at some points. Sports there really help me get through the school years. Good for those trying to get into their dream colleges. Overall I would recommend this school.
My experience through the four years I have been pretty good. I would change a lot of things like longer lunchtimes, more snow days, better school food, and redoing schools.
Jefferson High School is an amazing school. Every one seems to be very welcoming and I have learned a lot since coming here my freshman year. I am taking classes that are preparing me for college and I find that to be very beneficial. I would like to see better equipment for our athletes. I believe our athletes can go farther with better equipment to use during practices. Jefferson High School is a smaller school, but I find that to be helpful because it is easier to get extra help with my homework if I do not understand it. I am very happy that I came to Jefferson High. I learned a lot, and met great people.
things I like about Jefferson high school is its a really small school so everyone knows everyone and some things I wanna see changes is that our students try their best in classes get good grades and also try to bring our testing score
Honestly, horrible. The school is inconsiderate. Speak at assembly’s about matters that they aren’t educated on. Did nothing when people reported bullying, racism in teachers and students. Super disappointed how they use the children there as some type of quirky characteristic that its a community of low income minorities. I’ve never seen them speak about issues involving minorities or helping us.
I felt safe and welcome however on the academic side I felt like I was not being challenged and that there was not much diversity in the courses.
I transferred from out of state to play basketball and attend high school here. It was an amazing choice and I played tremendously and enjoyed going to school every day. It is a diverse school and the teachers and staff are very personal which makes it welcoming.
There is a lot of variety between schools. I found Chatfield to be horrible for diversity and school culture, while Columbine is fantastic for both.
The school is great because you can get involved in many events. The school has many teachers that care about our students and make sure that everything is going well. I like how the school is small because you get close yo your teachers and will never feel alone.
It's a school that lacks in education for students.
School is a pretty great school, got along with most of my teachers, however they never seemed to care about the students well-being, or some of the staffs.
I love Jefferson. I do wish the admin would be more open to allowing new and creative things the students want, but I do love Jefferson. The teachers are always there for you. I can name more than one teacher who I could tell anything to and who would be willing to help me on any occasion. It's very small school and and not important to most other large schools but I love it and wouldn't have changed where I went.
