I attended Julian Charter School from 1st grade to 7th grade. At Julian Charter, there are a couple different options: 1) You can attend classes at school 3-5 days a week, or 2) you can do home study where you are taught by your parent and the school provides the materials. I did the home study. If you take the home study path, you are required to meet with an educator from the school every month. At each meeting, the educator either collects samples of your schoolwork, makes you take a few tests, asks what you have been learning about, and sometimes even teaches you or watches you do schoolwork (although I never did this, it all depends on the educator). I never took the classes, however I have several friend who still do. Both the classes and the home study don't provide very good academics, however if you do the home study you are likely to get a better education. On average, the students are mostly troublemaking kids who got kicked out of other schools, or so I've seen.
Julian Charter School was an amazing school, they helped me to catch up when I was behind in public school. It was almost like they gave me a chance when no one else would. I seriously struggle with my bipolar disorder and some days not being able to get out of bed, so this was a perfect fit since I didn’t have to physically be there everyday and was able to do my work online. The library has a ton of great resources and the teachers truly care about their students. I’m actually considering sending my daughter there for school.
Throughout my 5 years of going here I have experienced nothing but love from every teacher. I have been so blessed to be able to attend an academy with such love and support from not only the teachers but the students .
Julian was fantastic for me. My E.S., Lorie Taylor, was super flexible and really believed in my brothers and I. I was a homeschooled student through Julian, and they were very good at helping us demonstrate to the state that our education was meeting all the necessary standards. The only classes I took through them were their math classes, but those were excellent.
I had moved to this school for 7th grade due to my previous school, Hillcrest Academy in Temecula, CA wasn't good for me academically or financially.
I will admit, I am a shy person. I wasn't sure how it would feel to transfer since I was a bit... worried to say the least. But after being there from 7th-12th grade, I can definitely say I very much enjoy this school.
From the fun teachers, to the lessons that helped me learn, to the nice atmosphere that really helped while there, I can totally recommend this school for anyone. They will treat you like family and you will get the skills necessary to move into your bright future!

I was only here for a year and a half and had a teacher that had no clue what she was teaching and a principal that wouldn't listen to the students on this. How dumb some of the people were in my class astounded me, and it really does seem like they graduate everyone.
I like how easy it is to contact the teachers when you need help. The schoolwork is easy to do, and makes sense. The school is in a very convenient location for me.
I came here to finish my senior year after moving. It was clear that they were one of the better charter schools that I've been involved with. The classes are small and the teachers really care and offer help when you need it. The people are extremely nice and their way of teaching really allows you to grow as as student.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Julian Charter School. Small class sizes allowed for relationships with every one of the students as well as with the teachers, and the 3-day-a-week program allowed me to have more time to study independently and gain work and extracurricular experiences.
I did not enjoy Julian Charter School because, quite simply, I had little to no desire to be home-schooled. It was difficult for me to retain the information that I learned there and I felt completely disconnected from the high school experience that I so longed for at the time. I still regret those years even today.
This is the best highschool setting that I have found. they work well with disabilities, and have patience to make sure each person graduates.
Julian charter school offers so many programs that would fit any families needs. The administration and staff are amazing people and always very quick to answer you.
The courses offered are awesome and you get more one on one time with teachers if needed. The school also offers a home program or an on campus program. It depends on your life style and your learning needs. No matter your learning style, you will benefit from this school.
I grew immensely during my time at Julian Charter School. I truly believe they create legacys. I left behind a legacy, and Julian Charter School created a legacy in my peers and me. I carry the legacy of my school proudly.
The teachers of Julian Charter School are in touch with their students, and genuinely want us to succeed. Their lectures are engaging and, fun. The workload given all relevant and, challenging. I attended the school for three years, never once receiving busy work from any of my teachers.
My experience at this school is a great experience. I enjoy the way I am taking my classes and I have experienced a new way of doing high school.
Teachers in my school are very kind. They help the students who need help and explain assignment thourghly. The teachers are great with replying to e-mails as quick as possible.
